Sweet Corn Chicken Soup



Sweet corn chicken soup is tastier than normal soups. You could prepare this in your kitchen just like restaurant style. Here is an easy recipe for your home made Sweet Corn Chicken soup...







Ingredients:


  • Chicken (with bones) - 8 pieces
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1 medium sized
  • Carrot - 2
  • Powdered pepper - 2 tsp
  • Water - 4 or 5 cups
  • Sweet corn (Cream style) - 1 can
  • Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  • Corn flour - 4 tbsp
  • Spring onion - 2
  • Salt



Preparation:

  1. Take a soup pot. Add chicken pieces, diced carrots, chopped onion, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper powder along with water.
  2.  Cook it until the chicken and vegetables become soft.
  3. Strain the contents into another vessel. Now the chicken stock for our soup is ready.
  4. Take out the cooked chicken pieces, remove the bones and shred the meat. You can discard the cooked vegetables.
  5.  Keep a soup pot and add the chicken stock, soya sauce, cream style sweet corn and shredded chicken pieces into it. Combine well and keep it to boil for 5 mins.
  6. Slowly add the beaten egg to the boiling soup. Keep stirring so that the egg wouldn't form lumps.
  7. Dissolve the corn flour in water and add it to the soup. Combine well and keep it to boil for 2 mins until the soup thickens.
  8. Take off from flame and garnish it with finely chopped spring onions.
  9. Serve hot.
